| In the deep valley of life Posted: 17 May 2010 01:04 AM PDT In the deep valley of life with sunlight fading before me, the darkness of sorrow falling over the shimmering sky and the birds crying as they fly over me I sit hither in a corner of this vast world Absorbing the weird sense of loneliness People go by, smiling hard at me A smile which I know Is a smile of contempt and mock A tear rolls down my cheek A tear that conceals the beauty of the past The past that was once held close to my heart A heart whose every beat has now slowed down Cause of the weight of the overpowering sorrow The reason for which is yet unknown But which is gnawing at my own existance Things of marvel, seem to be frivolous Without those strong guiding hands behind me Those hands which had been with me During times good and bad The hands which had wiped my every tear To turn them into many a smile Oh! How I wish to turn things back again To return those moments of simple joy Which were shared in the time that passed A time whose thought brightens my face But yet another tear rolls down my face With realization that breaks my heart That time once passed cannot be brought back Yet a thought calms my mind That this is the wonder of the world Which can neither be deciphered nor described That everyone who enters our life will have to leave To fulfill their destiny bigger and brighter, somewhere else… C.G.
